Today marks the second anniversary of the Insecure Writers Support Group, founded by Alex “no hyperlink needed” Cavanaugh. Congrats on building such a successful group! And since I know Alex will be quick to point out it’s a group effort, I’ll do it for him. The success of this group is due to the overwhelming support of so many great people – all of you who work tirelessly to help others and give encouragement or a helping hand.
Did you miss me? That’s always the question burning in my mind whenever I don’t blog for a while. Will I come back to an empty blog? Did anybody notice I was gone? Did Jezebel pollute the city water supply with her punch?
That last question is scary, mostly because you can’t help me with it.
The other stuff you can, though. I know I’ve missed all of you. It’s been a struggle to come back but I know I don’t want to lose touch with all of you, either. Encouragement will go a long way towards empowering me and I know that’s what this group does best. Many of you have continued to keep in touch with me, dragging me back bit by bit. I thank you for that. You have made a big difference in my life because of it.
