What an awesome blogfest, hosted by Ciara Knight and Ninja Captain Alex!

Here are the rules: You  can choose a book that you’’ve read, something you saw on a blog or social media  site, Goodreads, or a sales website. Anything that caught your eye because of a  great cover, blurb or reviews, but DON’’T tell the author that  their book has been noticed. Instead, shout out on social media sites, and  encourage others to do the same, until the author finds his/her book.

This was hard. There are so many great books out there, many of them written by my regular blog readers, that I chose one of my favorites from outside this blog circle.

And the winner is:

Bride of Fae (Tethers, Tales of Wyrd and Fae, Book Two),

by LK Rigel

Even though it says book two, it’s a standalone novel. There will be more to this series as well. Anyone who loves fantasy and faeries should read this. It’s one of my go-to reads when I want to lose myself within the pages.

Description:

A love more powerful than magic or time.

Beverly Bratton has a safe, mundane life. No drama. No magic. Since her parents died, she’s cared for her little sister Marion and worked at the Tragic Fall Inn. When a fairy’s charm sends Beverly a hundred years into the past-and into the path of a banished
fairy prince-nothing will ever be mundane or safe again.

The regent of the Dumnos fae is turning the court from light to dark, and there’s nothing the rightful king, Prince Dandelion, can do about it. The mystical coronation cup which he needs to become king has fallen into human hands. When he meets a human woman with access to the cup, everything changes. Beverly is fascinating as well as useful-but of course Dandelion doesn’t love her.

Love for a fairy is rare. Love with a human, impossible. But when Beverly and Dandelion are thrown together in a battle against both wyrd and fae, they learn that in Dumnos the impossible happens every day.

Those stinkin’ day jobs get in the way, don’t they? So glad you found it, Linda. I love this book! :D

      • Why weren’t we all born with a silver trust fund in our mouths? Or something like that.

Thanks again for the nice words about Bride of Fae. And about Prince Dandelion – I hope by the end of the book readers agree that “Dandelion” can join the lexicon of manly man hero names, ha.

  17. I haven’t heard of this book, but then again that’s the purpose of the Blogfest. Exposure. Good luck to LK Rigel and Bride of Fae!

  21. Added to my TBR. Oh gosh, this blog fest is not good for making my TBR list shorter, but it’s oh so good for finding new gems!

    Love this book’s cover.

  22. I can see why it would pull you into the world. Sounds like a good one. Gee, I wonder why both my husband and my TBR pile are groaning? It’s only ONE more book. Really.

  25. Hi Laura .. I liked your comment – lets go shopping for them all – easier than choosing from my TBR list.

This looks like a great choice – Bride of Fae … she looks a little anxiously into her future …

    Cheers Hilary

  26. Laura– Another great recommendation. I hope you’re doing well. I haven’t been to your site in a while. It’s good to see that you’re still going strong.

  27. I’ve never been a big fantasy reader, but would grab this one for the striking cover alone.

  28. Laura – by the way, Bride of Fae is on a BookBub promotion today and tomorrow. It’s 1/2 off at Amazon and B&N.
